§ 2.08. City clerk.

The commission shall appoint an officer of the city who shall have the title of city clerk. He shall serve at the pleasure of the commission.

Editor's note

The third, fourth and sixth sentences of section 2.08 have assumed ordinance status by virtue of the Municipal Home Rule Powers Act (F.S. ch. 166) and their inclusion in the Code. See Code, § 2-121. The fifth sentence (provides that clerk is registration officer) also assumed ordinance status but was not included in the Code as it was obsolete. See F.S. § 98.041 et seq.
