§ 2-514. Designation of employees and agents.

The city may designate certain of its employees or agents as code enforcement officers whose duty it is to assure compliance with the provisions of the Code. The training and qualification of the code enforcement officers shall be determined by the city. Employees or agents who may be designated as code enforcement officers may include but are not limited to code inspectors, law enforcement officers, animal control officers or fire safety inspectors. Designation as a code enforcement officer does not provide such officer with the power of arrest or subject the code enforcement officer to the provisions of F.S. §§ 943.085 through 943.255.
