§ 18-50. Provisional license.

  • (a)

    The local licensing agency may issue a provisional license to applicants for a child care facility license or to licensees who are unable to conform to all the standards as provided in this article.

    (b)

    No provisional license may be issued unless the operator makes adequate provisions for the health and safety of the child and unless the local licensing agency finds that a need exists for the services offered by the child care facility.

    (c)

    The provisional license shall not be issued for a period in excess of one year and shall not be subject to renewal.

    (d)

    The provisional license may be suspended if periodic inspection made by the local licensing agency indicates that insufficient progress has been made toward compliance.
