§ 14-335. Inactive status.

Any person who is certified pursuant to the provisions of this division, may place their certification in an inactive status for a period of time not exceeding five consecutive years. Such a person shall pay a renewal fee of $10.00 to the city for each year in which the inactive status is maintained. A person whose certificate is on the inactive status shall not engage in the business, occupation, or trade for which their certificate has been issued. This section shall not apply to certified contractors who are currently employed by a city or county in the State of Florida.
