§ 14-26. Adoption of Standard Building Code.

There is hereby adopted, by reference thereto, that certain code known as the Standard Building Code, being the 1997 Edition thereof, including the engineering design requirements contained in Section 1607 but excluding Chapter 11, "Accessibility for People with Physical Disabilities" and Appendix E, "Energy Conservation", and the same and the provisions thereof are hereby adopted and incorporated herein by reference as fully as if set forth in full herein, save and except as may be hereinabove set forth, and from the date on which this section shall take effect the provisions thereof shall be controlling; provided, however, where any provision of such Codes, as adopted hereby, is in conflict with the provisions of this Code of Ordinances, the provisions of this Code of Ordinances shall prevail.
